Pork Scratchings – The New Super Food

I’ve never really fathomed the attraction of Pork Scratchings, but I’m probably alone in that as most Lions at the Sheldon Country Park Fayre seemed very keen to have their share, whilst at the same time bemoaning how bad they were for their health. Perhaps I have some good news for them, pork scratchings have been identified as the new super food. No really, I’m not joking, they’re listed in the super food league charts along with popcorn, marmalade, peanut butter and blueberries. Well, at least I suspect that most of you reading this will agree that blueberries have earned their listing.

As for the rest of the day, the weather was kind and the fayre was busy, so hopefully we managed to bolster our charity funds. Both Splat the Rat and the Pirate’s Treasure Map proved popular although I’m not too sure that Splatting the Rat or some of the Pirate’s words were entirely politically correct, but nobody seemed to mind.
