Castle Bromwich Lions

Castle Bromwich & District Lions Club was founded in 1989 and although only one of the original members remains the club continues to grow in numbers.

Club members blend fun and friendship with fundraising and community service activities. The main fundraising activity of the year is the Christmas Sleigh. Throughout weekends in December the sleigh and members of the club can be seen in various shopping areas in the visinity of Castle Bromwich.

During the summer months Castle Bromwich & District Lions attend a number of local fun days and carnivals where they raise money with games such as Splat the Rat and the Pirates Treasure Map.

The Lions service activities are diverse, but include Marshaling at events such as the Castle Bromwich Remembrance Service and the annual sponsored run organised by the Foundation of Conductive Education, driving for the elderly, environmental projects and giving donations, usually in the form of equipment, where appropriate.
